Membership Rates

Pre-registration rates

Membership rates are as follows:

UK Rates:

Waged adult attending: £42 (from 1st January 2024)
Unwaged adult attending: £32 (from 1st January 2024)

For those under 18, membership rates are as follows:

Children aged 5 to 17 years: £1 per year of age at time of joining
Children under 5: £0 (free, but please register them!)

Whether you choose to post us a cheque, or pay us when you see us, or send your registration in by email, please ensure you include the information requested on this membership form (Google Doc) or one of the fliers distributed at other Cons (but please note that the membership rates that apply are the ones given here).

After you complete the form, we will send you an email with a total amount due, a payment reference to use, and payment details. This is not automated, so don't be worried when you do not get instant confirmation! (For returning filkers who had booked to attend 2021's cancelled UK Filk Con, we will also check our records to see if you had rolled on your membership from Long Play.)

Getting Memberships from Overseas

We know that transferring money internationally can be annoyingly expensive! You are welcome to pay your convention membership on the door (in GBP cash only, at the rate in place when you signed up), but the hotel requires payment in advance for the hotel room and any pre-booked dinners. Your registration confirmation email will provide a list of payment options. If you registered relatively early, that list has probably expanded since as members have been testing out a few routes and the hotel has now provided us with an event code for direct room bookings - we don't want to share financial details online, so please email our treasurer for an update if you are having difficulties.

At-Con rates

Membership rates will be as follows:

Waged adult attending: £42
Unwaged adult attending: £32

Day Rates:

Friday, Adult: £15
Saturday, Adult: £25
Sunday, Adult: £20
Children (aged 5-17) at half the adult rate, under fives free.

Online Payments

We do not at present have an easy way of taking online payments unless you can make a direct transfer into a U.K. bank. Email us if you would like to make a transfer and need the convention's bank details.
